Adding a new AfD discussion

Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:

Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Radio|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.

Removing a closed AfD discussion

Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.

Other types of discussions

You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Radio. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

List of doctors working in the British media

Category-ify if that's an option. I BOLDly created Category:Medical doctors in British media. I'm not too keen on Ernest Hart (medical journalist), someone who died in 1898, being listed as 'working' in the present tense. Redirect to Sandy Bay First Nation#Notes: this article is clearly written to meet the looser, non-GNG "inclusion standards" of ~15 years ago that were more about existence of a license (notwithstanding that, as ever, existence is neither notability nor proof of it) than significant coverage. Considering that the GNG was confirmed as the actual notability barometer here in 2021 and the article was only created this month (and all articles from any era are required to comply with current policies and guidelines in any event), that's a problem. Delete - Agree with the nom that none of the references in the article pass WP:NORG/WP:ORGIND. The best is the Sun Star reference but that is still just an interview. Nothing in my WP:BEFORE either. FOARP (talk) 07:57, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Keep: Sources 2 and 5 talks about part of the station's history and programming. Source 3, 6 and 7 talk about part of its programming. Source 2 is a WP:SELFPUBLISHED blog. Source 3 is a promo for a music event that has a single WP:TRIVIALMENTION of a former DJ for the station. Source 5 is a profile of a former DJ that has a single passing mention of the station. Source 6 is likewise a single passing mention. Source 7 is WP:PROMO for an event the station is taking part in, not independent coverage. It's unfair and unjust to apply WP:NCORP for radio/TV stations. Broadcast companies and organizations do go under the said guideline, not the stations they own and/or operate. Delete - The sources aren't very good at all, mostly blogs -- and even then, those are very light on actual focus on the station -- and when you have to fatten up an article with what basically amounts to a press announcement for ticket sales, you know you're either dealing with thin or incomplete sourcing. Delete, fails WP:GNG. Subject has single mention in all sources cited. Merging it with the parent company article Quest Broadcasting will also amount to nothing becuae this very article does not provide any valuable infortaion so the best option is to delete it.
